The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is a mixture between castle defense and hack and slash game. Basically you are the owner of a castle that you can customize and you are in charge of barging into castles of other players and taking their loot. You have to build up your castle so that other players will not be able to ransack it, and you will also have to figure out how to beat the defenses of other players, making for a very interesting combination.
One of the main features of Mighty Quest is your castle and the amount of customizing you can do on it. Each player is given his own castle that he is charged with defending. You can place different traps and creatures in your castle to help defend it. As you level up the castle you gain new rooms and new ways to defend it further. In order to bring new creatures into your castle there is a summoning portal to populate your castle with creatures. You are only allowed so many creatures in different areas of your castle. There is a boss section of the castle where you can place a boss creature, and more creatures than normal. There is a creature upgrade system that allows you to enhance and customize your creatures. You can change around how your creatures behave so that attacking players aren’t sure what to expect during a fight.
Your castle also holds mines that you must harvest as they fill up with gold or life force. You can use the gold and life force to improve your castle further and it leaves you having to manage your castle closely as you play the game. The game also allows you to replay any attacks that have been made on your castle. This is a cool feature that allows you to analyze what went wrong during the fight, and what went right so that you can customize your defenses further.
The creators of the Mighty Quest for Epic Loot also created a friends zone that places all of your in-game friends in one single area. This allows you to compete with your other friends and try to invade their castles, and is a nice touch.
Since Ubisoft mashed together the castle defender genre and the dungeon running genre there aren’t many games that are really similar. Games like Dungeon Runner, or Dungeons and Dragons offer a similar experience to actually trying to beat castles. The gameplay of the Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is pretty limited since you can only bring along 4 abilities with you, and that makes this pretty similar to the other games mentioned above.
The only real difference is that it has that castle defense portion of the game as well, and it is more competitive against other players. You will be working hard to outsmart your opponents and keep them out of your loot, and by doing so will gain some additional loot of your own and become a more powerful player in the game.
If you enjoy castle defense games and you enjoy the hack and slash genre then you will probably enjoy the Mighty Quest for Epic Loot. It is a pretty addictive game that relies on other players to continue making it enjoyable to play. It is much more entertaining than similar games that only have company created dungeons, because you never really know what to expect with the character created dungeons.
