Description

SecureAPlus is a type of system protection software that will protect the computer against any viruses and malware. It does this and also whitelists all available applications so as to prevent any malicious programs.

Features

It has two versions the enterprise version and freemium. The enterprise version has more features but it is not free while freemium has a free one year license. Installation does not take long it may take at most one minute. It has a simple user interface that enables the user to access all the features easily. It is able to detect and stop malware from destroying the computer and its ability to whitelist programs makes it more secure. The initial scan tends to look in all files of the computers. SecureAPlus gives the user the option of adding or removing the programs that have already been whitelisted. It also has a real time scanning feature. It also gives the user the option of whether to scan the whole system or just to scan specific selected files and folders. It is able to block advanced malware and other Trojan. It has an automatic update mode so that the user can always have the latest version and an up to date virus and malware database.

Comparison

SecureAPlus functioning is very different from a regular antivirus. It tends to block any malware and virus once it is detected as opposed to other software that tends to be slow in detecting and creating a virus signature. SecureAPlus has the ability to detect any type of malware and block it. It is able to do this in the case that the malware is unknown which may be difficult for other software. It also has the ability to coexist with another antivirus so as to ensure full protection at all times.

Conclusion

SecureAPlus is one of the essential security software to have in the computer and its ability to coexist with other antivirus software makes it even better than the rest.

  1. Standard anti-viruses used to be enough since all the viruses that came out then were manageable. Today at least 200,000 new viruses are created everyday, and some of them are made to target specific users and are undetectable until they have done damage.

SecureAPlus is excellent because it combines 12 anti-viruses in the cloud so it won’t slow you down. And those anti-viruses are actually ones that I know, Sophos, Avira, AGV, and Bitdefender to name a few. This means that combines their detection rates to cover any gaps in between. The first scan upon install is always slow since it is setting things up and making sure your system is clean, but the 2nd scan onwards is super fast, it rarely scans for more than a minute. I’m talking about full system scan here so it’s really amazing.

But my favorite feature is whitelisting. Anti-viruses use blacklisting, meaning they look for bad stuff but with so many bad stuff everyday it’s hard to keep up 100%.

Whitelisting looks out for the good guys, so SecureAPlus makes a list of good guys that you already trust based on what you have (which is scanned first by those 12 anti-viruses) and let’s those run freely. All the new programs or anything that tries to run, even the ones that start a hidden process, are blocked until the user trusts it once they are prompted. The clever part here is that unlike other anti-viruses that does this and just tells you its harmful based on that one diagnosis, SecureAPlus advises you based on scan results from 12 anti-viruses (sometimes it even pulls results from Virus Total). Not only is this more accurate, it helps prevent human error.

SecureAPlus comes highly recommended for me. It’s Free! It works with or without an existing offline anti-virus. I use the free AVG at the moment but my friend uses the free Bitdefender with it without any issues as well. So there’s really no reason not to at least give it a try.
