AIMP is, technically speaking, a full featured audio player capable of supporting almost all known audio formats. Some of these file formats include, but not limited to, MP3, AAC, Opus, WMA, FLAC, WAV, Apple Lossless, and all audio CDs among many others. It even supports Internet radio playback and high quality recording.
The AIMP3 is the latest version of the original Artem Izmaylov Media Player (AIMP). This revolutionary audio player comes with a media library, a great sound recorder, and capacity to convert any audio output into a number of different formats on an easy-to-use interface.
The AIMP software has a multitude of impressive features. For starters, it comes with an 18-band equalizer with built-in sound effects, playlist support, tag editing, and personal ratings. It has an automatic cross-fading feature that provides a clean change-over from one track to the next. Another great feature of this audio player the one-click sound recording. The software is capable of detecting your system’s sound card and recording from any in-put device such as USB flash disks and microphones.
Unlike most audio players, the AIMP can directly record in MP3 format, eliminating the need for conversion or encoding with different software. Other helpful features of the AIMP include a Scrobbler for Last.FM, ability to bookmark and create a playback queue, multiple playlist support, ability to play media files as large as 250MB straight from your computer’s RAM, a multi-language user-friendly interface, a selection of hotkeys, a file organizer, automatic shutdown, and great support. Additionally, you can extend the player’s existing functionality by adding Input and gen plug-ins from Winamp audio player.
In comparison with other audio players such as Winamp, Xion, JavaMod, and Windows Media Player, the AIMP player comes with greater efficiency and more advanced functionality. It is totally free yet provides features you can only find in paid audio players. Another great advantage this player has over the rest is the fact that it supports numerous music formats where most of the other player can only play MP3 and a few other formats. From the numerous features mentioned above, one can accurately state that AIMP has better functionality and a more intuitive interface than the other players.
AIMP is a great audio player with a handy set of utilities including file converter and CD ripper. It is a player developed with great emphasis on sound quality and customizable functionality. Its audio output comes in 32-bit crystal clear sound. The best thing about the AIMP player is that it can be downloaded free of charge. It is one of the best audio players available in the Internet.
